Spirituality Statement: Hillcrest Family Services shares a historical relationship with the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church (USA). We collaborate in our services to others with our local communities, religious and otherwise, to advocate on behalf of those we serve to ensure (at minimum) their basic needs are met.

Hillcrest, founded by Dr. Nancy Hill on February 26, 1896, was concerned about young unmarried mothers and their babies.

Today, Hillcrest exists to harness and activate resources for our clients which promote and treat brain health, overall well-being, and belonging in an environment free of stigma.

Services include more than 30 different programs including
Birth: Adoption, WIC (Women Infants and Children supplemental food program),
Youth: Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program, Co-Occurring Residential Treatment, Adolescent Foster-Care Group Homes, Emergency Youth Shelter (serving youth in crisis situations), and Mentor Dubuque
Adult: Hillcrest Brain Health Center, Walk In Crisis Services Clinic, Mobile Crisis Outreach, Homeless Outreach, Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation (assisting adults with serious brain health concerns), Job Training, Residential Group Homes, Supportive Living for Persons with brain health concerns, Tobacco Use Prevention, Unplanned Pregnancy Counseling, Wellness Center, Residential Care Facility/ Persistent Mental Illness Facility, and Integrated Health Home (insuring total wellness for persons with brain health concerns).

In 2022, Hillcrest, through this unique array of services, served over 7,000 people.
