$2,000 Goal

The Church of the Nativity, established in 1923, was built to accommodate the growing population of Dubuque Catholics expanding westward from the downtown area to the hill district. The Rev. Henry P Rohlman, former business manager of Loras College, was appointed as the first and founding pastor. Archbishop Keane officiated at the blessing of the cornerstone on July 14, 1923 and solemnly dedicated the 'new' building on December 23, 1923. Almost 100 years later, the Church of the Nativity continues to provide for the spiritual needs of our parishioners and others in the area by offering daily Mass, as well as opportunities for faith sharing and growing.

Testimonials

Consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
