Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars

Through the current 102 endowed Scholarships and the many Direct Scholarships awarded each year, EVERY student who applies is awarded normally 3-5 scholarships each year to graduating MV students for use in furthering their education. As of the statistics from the May of 2020 Awards Ceremony, together MVDFS and alumni, friends, businesses, teachers, service organizations, clubs and local churches, 965 graduates have been awarded over $875,000.00 Because these awards are from Dollars for Scholars, most colleges or universities do not reduce student aid dollars by the scholarship amount. In some cases, the scholarship wil receive partial or full matching funds.
