Northeast Iowa School of Music

Northeast Iowa School of Music is a non-profit community organization located in Dubuque, Iowa that makes music education and enrichment accessible to all. Winner of the 2017 365ink Impact Award for music, Northeast Iowa School of Music is a certified member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education.

Instructional programs are available for preschoolers through senior citizens. No experience or audition is required and scholarship assistance is available to those who qualify. Our school believes that life and health are enriched by life-long learning and participation in music. We believe that all people deserve this opportunity, regardless of financial obstacles.

Northeast Iowa School of Music also believes that music is meant to be shared. In addition to instruction, the school provides our community outreach programs and a variety of community events. This includes concerts such as the free Lollipops & Music for Our Preschoolers concerts, free and low-cost classes for youth in downtown Dubuque, adult performance ensembles, and a variety of free concerts.
