Pandemic, flood, tornado, hazardous material spill: We never know when disaster will strike in our community. Each emergency requires preparedness and timely response to support communities and residents with relief and recovery efforts.

In 2023, the Clayton County Foundation for the Future established the Clayton County Disaster Recovery Fund to assist with long-term recovery and support of individuals and communities affected by disaster.

The Clayton County COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) is made up of agencies and nonprofit partners, along with the county emergency manager, all working together to support delivering essential services and assistance to those impacted by disasters. Dollars remaining in the fund after disaster needs have been met will be retained for future emergencies.

Your support of the Disaster Recovery Fund means we're prepared to act when disaster strikes in our communities.
