Clinton County Agricultural Society

MISSION

The Clinton County Agricultural Society (CCAS) is a volunteer-based organization with the primary mission of providing county youth an opportunity to showcase the learning and projects they have worked on for the past year through the Clinton County Fair. The fair board also strives to educate the general public about the past, present and future of agriculture, horticulture, mechanical arts and rural domestic economics and is responsible for maintaining and improving facilities for public and private use.

FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

In an effort to continue the heritage of the Clinton County Fair, the board is working towards bringing the fairground’s many aged facilities up to today’s needs and standards.  Many of the building on the Clinton County Fairgrounds were built in the 1950’s & 60’s with a single purpose, to be used the week of fair. The new or improved buildings would be multi purpose and used year-round.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

Beef Arena Roof - The Beef Arena is a 80’ X 144’ steel-frame building was built in the 1960’s. The leaking roof jeopardizes the experiences and youth development opportunities that the fair offers. The project will extend the longevity of the building and offer the opportunity for future improvements that will better serve the fair, its exhibitors and attendees. These improvements will strengthen the Beef Arena as a vibrant and dependable community gathering space well beyond the week of fair.
