The Crocus Foundation, founded in 2023 in memory of community leader, J. Bruce Meriwether, provides holistic wellness support to cancer survivors by reducing the financial burden of vital recovery services. We believe movement, positivity, and mind-body care are essential to healing and should be accessible to all, regardless of financial means. At the core of our program is a prescribed, one-on-one fitness plan, delivered by certified Cancer Exercise Specialists and tailored to meet each survivor’s unique needs. To further support recovery, we partner with trusted providers offering services such as Massage Therapy, Sound Healing, Qigong, Yoga, Strength Training, Chiropractic Care, and Counterstrain Physical Therapy. We serve survivors of all ages and provide financial assistance through a flexible grant model, ensuring that healing is accessible to everyone. To date, we’ve raised $275,000, awarded over $30,000 in scholarships, and empowered 120+ survivors. We are seeking additional funding to strengthen our organizational capacity and expand our reach, ensuring we continue to offer holistic recovery services to those in need. Like the crocus blooming through frost, we stand with survivors as they rise—resilient, vibrant, and full of life.
