Elkader Future Fund

The Elkader Future Fund is a team of local leaders committed to supporting projects that strengthen Elkader’s vitality for both current and future generations. Thanks to generous community support, the Fund has successfully reached its goal of establishing a permanent endowment to benefit Elkader for years to come.

Through donor support, the Elkader Future Fund has already helped complete projects including Outdoor Musical Instruments at Founders’ Park and the Elkader Public Library, Sunshade Shade Structures at the Elkader Swimming Pool, and a Safety Enhancement Crosswalk Light at Bridge Street along the Pony Hollow Trail.

As a permanent community endowment, up to 5% of the fund will be reinvested annually into local projects and initiatives that enhance quality of life in Elkader. Community members are encouraged to share ideas for future projects that support parks, arts and culture, safety, recreation, downtown amenities, youth opportunities, and other efforts that help Elkader remain a vibrant and welcoming place to live and visit.
