In Dubuque alone, 160 to 180 children are in the foster care system at any given time. When children are removed from their homes, they often arrive with nothing, no belongings, no sense of stability, and no understanding of what comes next. Removal day is sudden, overwhelming, and deeply traumatic.

Matthew House exists to redefine foster care removal day. Instead of chaos, children enter a calm, welcoming home where their immediate needs are met with dignity and care.
