Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation Endowment for Education, Recruitment and Retention

In 2014, provided scholarships for two CNA students to attend Northeast Iowa Community College.

In 2015, purchased a giant white communication board for nursing to not only communicate between nursing shifts but also between departments.

In 2017, provided the tuition to sponsor a young man to take the EMT Course at Northeast Iowa Community College helping to fulfill a much needed service in the area.

In 2018-2019, provided tuition for two additional candidates to attend the EMT Course at Northeast Iowa Community College.

In 2020, three scholarships were offered to attend EMT Courses at Northeast Iowa Community College. This will continue to be the purpose of these funds each year, helping to fulfill much needed, hard to recruit volunteer positions.

In 2022, one scholarship was offered to a candidate to attend the EMT Course at Northeast Iowa Community College.

In 2023, two scholarships were offered to candidates to attend the EMT Course at Northeast Iowa Community College and one scholarship was offered to continue a candidate's education by attending the Advanced EMT Course at Kirkwood Community College.
