Great Give Day Prize Rules
- All donations must be made by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)on GreatGiveDay.org between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 to be eligible forGreat Give Day.
- The minimum donation that will be accepted is $10. There is no maximum per donation, nor maximum per charity.
- Donor is defined as an individual or corporation/business. For purposes of awarding prizes, multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift. Organizations cannot donate to themselves.
- Each donor who enters their own credit card information directly on GreatGiveDay.org is entering his/her data into a secure web portal provided by Mighty Cause.
- Only those organizations with endowment funds at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque that sign the Great Give Day participation contract and create profiles on GreatGiveDay.org are eligible to participate in Great Give Day and compete for incentive grant prizes.
- Donors are encouraged to make gifts to multiple organizations of their choice. Each unique gift of $10 or more to a different organization will be counted on the leaderboard.
- Each gift is 100% tax deductible and irrevocable.
- All donations will be paid to the chosen nonprofit (or to its endowment fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque if so designated by the nonprofit) net of credit card transaction and processing fees paid to vendors, which is 6%. The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, which administers GreatGiveDay.org, covers the cost of this giving event as a community service at no additional charge.
- Incentive Grant Prizes will be funded by local donors and will go to the nonprofit’s endowment fund at the Community Foundation.
